These dynamic and empowering classes are specifically designed for adolescents and teens and are appropriate for beginners as well as those who have practiced yoga before.  The yoga poses support the development of strong, flexible bodies and also stimulate the brain. There is an emphasis on positive affirmations, visualization, and relaxation techniques to help kids cope with stress.  Sydney's teen classes focus on developing the mind-body connection, promoting a positive self-image, and increasing self-esteem.

Visualization and Relaxation

Visualization paired with guided relaxation is effective in overcoming test anxiety, improving test and athletic performance, increasing motivation, improving memory and concentration, and building self-esteem.

Combining yoga with affirmations brings inner peace, improves mood, decreases depression, promotes a healthy body image, and enhances creativity and imagination.

The purpose of this program is to empower teens and to encourage them to understand that they have the power to shape their own world. The tools they will learn can be applied to many different arenas and will be useful throughout their entire lives.
